I really enjoyed the company, office, and intern perks while working at amex. But I hated the work I did (I zoned out after 3 weeks of working here). I worked as pm intern on their data strategy team and found the work tedious and extremely boring.
Pros:
- $15 (total) for lunch/breakfast per day - you weight how much food you then pay based on that
- Amazing office/people - I worked on 48th floor so you get a view of the whole city/hudson river
- Unlimited free snacks
- Made some really close intern friends
Cons:
- Work is really boring
- Food lunch/breakfast get repetitive
- At times no real direction on what I was supposed to do
